It's enough to mess up the balance, alignment, handling, and wheel studs.
It's up to you if you want to take that chance and compromise your safety.
Personally, I wouldn't do it.

Hmm, those pictures of 88turboii's car are from this years DGRR, I also know that he has auto-x'ed that car many times this year and has taken it to the NC mnt's a couple times.

Im pretty sure that those wheels don't serve a problem.

I know the Infini IV's had BBS wheels that look like the verts, except for being a 16". Unfortunately, they are probably pretty hard to come by. I also never have seen a posted weight or width for the Infini wheels..... Anyone happen to know?

i was going to run FD rims but decided the offsets were going to require too much work to get right...

mustang GT rims are fairly lightweight and plentiful (and have great tire size choices)... and fit well on a 2nd gen!

(not my car... just knew where to find this pic quicker)

Thanks for the useful info. I think most people would gladly take on 4 pounds per corner over the vert wheels to get a wider and shorter sidewall tire. Once you stick a 225 on there, the shorter sidewall could keep tire weight comparable too There's Japan, keeping the good shit to themselves as usual
