i havent had any problems with them. if the bolt pattern is 0.7mm off, then each hole is only ~0.35mm off, which apparently isnt enough to be a problem

It's enough to mess up the balance, alignment, handling, and wheel studs.
It's up to you if you want to take that chance and compromise your safety.
Personally, I wouldn't do it.
