djmtsu will become famous soon enough
My only concern is that it will be edited into an FD-centric video.

Gotta show love for everyone, not just the guys who spend yearly salaries on their cars. Remember this is a Rotary Rally!

I would be interested in buying a copy if the final product:

1. Is professionally produced & edited, i.e., no herky-jerky camera work, bad sound, etc.

2. Is interesting enough so that the non-rotorhead/non-car person won't get too bored watching after the first few minutes of it.

3. Agree with djmtsu - I don't want to see an FD centric lovefest, but something that captures ALL the rotary machines that show up. Especially the rotary bikes and the various one-off rotary powered creations.

4. It includes more than just video of the cars & rides down the dragon - would be great to capture lots of informal interviews & chats with the attendees, sponsors, and even the local residents/spectators.

I would buy if it was like this -- but you can make it FD centric if you want..jk

I wouldn't be interested, but I think it's a great idea.

Fixed. My yearly salary will barely keep an FD running.

I'd be interested in one. We need to be careful not to include any footage of Kentetsu's famous naked Dragon runs.

Come on Bob, that would only increase sales and you know it!

Seriously though, I'd be in for one. Wouldn't mind maybe seeing some interviews with a couple of Vendors (like Billy from Respeed, who spent the last rally replacing dj55b's rear end for him) and maybe with a couple of racers. But yeah, gotta have some love for the FBs this year. lol. And some hot chicks, lots of really hot chicks!

LOL! DJ, stop buying other rotaries and you need to buy an FD.. .then you'll start to understand and you stigma toward FD owners will disappear..

Joking aside, what I was thinking is this..

1. Main feature about 10-15 mins long encompassing the event itself including surrounding area, some of the drives, etc

2. Interviews with different generation owners to capture about what is great about that car.

3. Show casing specific cars (pending number of generation cars at DGRR).. I mean we have to be fair.. If 200 FD's show and only 15 FCs show, then we need to cover more of FDs... even if some of you think same number of cars should be covered in the video.

I think DVD will be about 60-90 mins long total.. I would have to get approximate number will be sold to see if the guy is interested in doing this or not.. If not, oh well...

Lol! Phil, I love FD's. They are still one of the best looking cars ever made. I just don't think the prices for them, or parts is justifiable.

Old school (and FC's) for life!

My FC is officially an antique as of this month (1/86 build) so it's officially old school.
