Premix oil reservoir recommendations

I got this made (puts drain, nipples, etc. where you want) by a guy on ebay for like $25.00. If you need his info let me know, its very thick and well made. The cap is great as well.

I also had this one that I bought at Advanced Autoparts for $10.00. The cap sucks a bit but the reservoir is good. I just got a four point strut bar so I have to rework my setup a bit now.

That looks like a universal aftermarket coolant overflow tank. They say not to use them for oil because it will degrade the plastic over a short period of time.

Yeah , I've been reading up on it and you need something that can stand
up to 2 cycle oil. Just any ole coolant or wiper tank won't do, they will
disintegrate in a matter of months.

Thats why I started looking at motorcycles, snowmobiles and ATVs. Turns
out the ATVs seem to have pretty large tanks on them. I think I'll get the
Polaris ATV tank I saw on ebay. Once I do I'll do a writeup on how to
mod the MOP for an external tank. I know its been done before but I think
a more recent one is in order for the 1st gen.

Meh, thats BS,it's been over a year, still good as new.

I think j_tso was referring to the first 2 cycle reservoir you had from autozone.
The custom one you have now I bet is made to standup to 2 cycle oil.

I'm not running the custom one, I only used it a short time because the custom one does not fit with my new strut bar. I am using the cheapy

Looks like a well-made tank setup, how much premix will it hold? I'm looking to do this project on my FC. Please share the ebay contact/store info when you have a chance.

If you're talking about the white tank, I think I have the same exact one and I got it for about $12 at US Plastics, I got the vented lid too though and I think that was several dollars itself. I got some fittings, drilled the hole and tapped it, put some thread sealant on the threads and installed the fitting. Works like a charm, and they're good for oils too so it should be fine.

EDIT: Here is mine. Pretty sure they're exactly the same.
