Ok we need more information here,
#1 engine which engine do you have you say 13b 4port so is this an old school 4port 74-5 or 76-78 or is this a bitch engine that was built using 12a plates an GSL-SE housings? Or is this a Turbo block from a second or third gen Rx7. #2 you say that you have a T2 setup but want to stay carb'd? You are in for one hell of a time trying to get that setup to work. Some of the other guys out there will chime in with all kinds of advice on this. IMHO if you want to go turbo then you are probably going to have to do a blow through setup to stay carb'd. You would be better off going with draw through injection. Now if you just want to boost the engine for street driving and you want to stay simple Camden Supercharger Kit. I have run all of them and MY preference is for the last. BTW don't let my low post count fool you I have nearly half as many rotaries as I do posts Last edited by Rotarydave; 10-12-2009 at 11:52 PM.. Reason: not done |

boost
the PO said I can use an S4 or maybe an S5 intake so either he wasn't sure or didn't want to get into detail but I'm just wondering if I can use the exaust, turbo, and intercooler from the TII system? I'm a little broke as I just spent over 4G's on the paint. But I can't stand the power lag in the mid range and I'm going to do a complete build in a couple years. Also I need to change the bolt pattern from 4x110

No, you can't use a TII intake. The bolt pattern is different and you don't have bungs for the primary injectors. You'll need an early 13B intake manifold. There aren't any that I know of that will work with the stock S5 exhaust manifold and turbo as-is. You have to space the turbo away from the engine.
With my Racing Beat sidedraft manifold, the turbine housing and one of the primary intake runners had to be ground down a bit, and that's with about a 1/4" spacer between the turbo and exhaust manifold. It's still very close, but I can't go out any further because the idler arm is in the way (it's pretty tricky getting the turbo in, in fact). I don't know whether an S4 turbo and manifold would be any easier or harder to fit. The stock top-mount intercooler is pretty worthless. Pick up an eBay intercooler and set it up as a front-mount (or do without if you're cheap like me).

%7c when he PM'd me about his engine it sounded like he really has a turbo block with NA internals I asked him to post some pics so we could be for certain on what he has, I know you will agree that it will make all the difference in the world when it comes to manifolds and such

Yeah, that changes things a lot. Makes things much simpler.
