My New 1973 RX-3 Wagon Project
Here's a couple of shots of my latest acquisition- a one owner 1973 RX-3 Wagon that I will be going through as much as time and money permit (original owner in the pictures). A local shop was kind enough to break the windshield, butcher a brake line replacement and rip apart some of the interior (not quite what the original owner had in mind, I'm thinking), so I have some work to do right out of the gate.
She's pretty straight and rust free. I have been trying to get this one for about a year now, so I'm really psyched about it! I'll be starting on it in about a month or so- once I get a small addition on my shop done in the next three weeks. I'll probably be working on this one right alongside my '72 RX-3 Wagon I got a few years ago. Neal.

Yeah, me too....
More pics and any updates will (unfortunately) have to wait for at least a month or so. I had to move the wagon out of the shop (my shop is very small) for a few weeks, and bring in the two FDs I'm working on right now (swapping stuff between them). Since my shop can only hold two cars with enough room to comfortably work on them, the third wheel (RX-3) has to wait outside under a tarp until the FD work gets done.
I'll be getting on her soon, though- I'm really excited about the project and have some stuff to 'upgrade' her a bit, like stock A/C and one of the original dealer-optional roof racks off a car I bought in Texas that is down at Meditz's place, and I'm looking to get a few other bits from a fellow collector out West to bring the emissions and exhaust systems up to my liking. She will remain essentially a stock wagon, though with some options and all that she didn't leave the factory or dealer floor with. I keep toying with the idea of converting her to automatic since I have always wanted an automatic wagon (and have most of the stuff to do the changeover), but I'm not sure I'm willing to change her that much yet. We'll see- hold off on the hate mail and death threats for the time being. She's still a manual trans car at the moment. Neal.
