Default 3rd Gen aftermarket Ecu's

Which ecu is best for detecting higher levels of boost. Do you have to replace the map sensor.

Um... you can setup the Power FC to run a GM 3-bar sensor.

Does that answer your question?

Ask whom ever is tuning your car which ECU they are more comfortable with. You don't want to purchase an ECU they've never used before. In that scenario they might not even touch it.

The only limitations I've encountered with the Power FC were that running 6x injectors would force me to set 2 paris as one, and I wanted to use an ECU that would control each independently.

if you plan on running more than 20psi of boost you'd want a 3 bar map sensor. as for aftermarket ECUs i am currently about to install a haltech platinum sport 1000 into my FD. it comes with a built in 2.5 bar map sensor which saved me some money.

im not sure what is considered to be the "best" at aftermarket ECUs, but like above poster said...go with what your tuner is comfortable with. he'll be able to get the most numbers out of your build and you'll be happier!
