Anyone have experience with OBX ehaust?
I just lost my main cat and I'm thinking it's upgrade time. I'd rather stick with duals but it's hard to beat $200 (see ebay) for a stainless catback. I'd like to know how well this exhaust holds up and sounds. http://www.obxracingsports.com/products.php?pk=1104
Also, the car has to pass emissions and I'm not willing to drop the kinda bank anyone wants for the stock cats. I'm looking at these bonez high flow cats at www.rx7.com. Does anyone have any experience with these? would the car even pass emissions with a header and cat combo? http://www.rx7.com/store/rx7/fcexhaust.html Thanks for any info guys.

ok, so here is the problem with the exhaust that I've heard TWO people say:
the long, straight pipe that goes from the axle to the header is too short to bolt right up to it.... so you either cut it short and add a cat/presilencer, or add an extension if you want it to bolt straight to the header flange. Also, that is WAY overpriced on the wesite. you can get one of those for $200 plus shipping on ebay. As far as the cat, bonez are ok, but if you only need it to be temp, here's a cheap alternative: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1988-...Q5fAccessories If you have a header: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CATAL...Q5fAccessories EDIT: I was actually going to buy that system myself, but with some poking around, I managed to find a mint condition HKS Silent Hi-Power for 375 shipped! I'm sure if you look around no-pistons, evilforum, and ebay enough, you will find a great deal on exhaust components. EDIT #2: got my RB header for 150 shipped from some guy as well.

Bonez high flow cat:
Bought a 3" one last year for $250whatever.......installed it. Drove around here breaking in the engine. Drove down to DGRR. Took a midnight cruise through the dragon. Blew half of it out. Removed the other half when I got back home because it was clogged and could only make 6psi Never again will I pay that much for a cat |

Corksport systems are pretty damn cheap......unfortunately they are also stupid loud.
Of course I have only heard the single exhaust system on Pauls GTUs with no cats. LOUD!

I'd like to get something that's a little more subtle. Preferably no huge exhaust tip and not too noisy. I would prefer it to be polished and seamless though. I found this cat on ebay that I could go with instead of the bonez: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ht_5025wt_1024
I'm still not sure on the OBX exhaust though, no one has first hand experience? I found this video on Youtube but it's always hard to tell what it REALLY sounds like. It does seem to sound ok through my speakers though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SWEqkicPxw
