Default What is the Fog light?

I thought the fog light was a H3 bulb, but well its not! I searched to find out what it might be and couldn't find it! If so if you know what the replacement one is that would be great! Thanks!!!

An H3 will work, but you have to add a wire to make it work with the factory plug.

That was my next step, but didn't know if there was a drop in replacement. I knew it was a weird one but couldn't find anything on it.

You can buy a direct replacement from Mazda, last I checked they were around $35 each!!!

If you modify the H3's you can upgrade to 100W bulbs. I have some but have not installed them, can't get the damn lenses off the housing!!!

Look on the side, there is a spot to put a flat head in there. I did the same thing today! Spent about hour trying to get the dam thing out. Went and looked at the FSM and on the left side the tab is there. Took all of five seconds after that.

I wish it was that easy, the screws will not budge, and I am afraid to strip them!

The factory bulb is an H3c. Just a little different than the H3. You can make it work though.

You can buy 100W Sylvania H3 bulbs at Advance Auto Parts, at least you used to be able to!

Yeah bulb is an H3C I got a set of them for mine one time (PIAA) and the only thing I had to do was cut down the ends because they were to long. I wouldn't think that it would be a problem with a more OEM fitting bulb though.
