Default Did anyone go to SEMA this year.

I went and didn't see very many people from this part of the country. Typically, there are more left coast folks than right but I think I only met two people and only a handful of vendors. I just figured there was more there than I thought.

I went, it was my first time. I hope to never see a Nissan GT-R again for the rest of my life.

I went, but it was basically just for Thrusday.
I haven't gone for like 5 years, so it was a big change.
Yes, it was subdued - big time.
I was actually surprised at the amount of people - I was expecting less.
LOTS of foreigners...due to the weak US $?
I was disappointed both HKS and GReddy (well, not so much them cause they are in bankrupcy) were not there.
Totally missed the Haltech booth (WTF!).
Lots of EVO's and WRX's / STi's.
Yes, there were a bunch of R35 GT-R's, but I didn't think it was that overwhelming - the car is new and not many of them were that modified.
There was that nasty R34 with the RB26 swap though...

I agree with all that. Some of the contacts I was to meet with there hauled ass on me before i got a chance to catch them. Maybe because of the low turn out, I don't know. Their were alot of GT-R's, but, I think their were more Challenger's than anything else. The blown rolls was a little sick. When I first saw it, I thought the guy was out of his tree until I found out the rolls wasn't a collector. Still, I wouldn't have blown a rolls though. Whatever, different smoke for different folk. I still had a good time, met alot of interesting people that ordinarilly I wouldn't have been able to meet or I would have only talked to on the phone. I'll probably go to PRI next year instead, its closer.

I went with a couple guys from town, the ones Low Impedance was talking about. It was my first time, I thought it was cool. It was great to finally make it. Next year we're trying to decide whether we should go back to SEMA, Sevenstock or Tokyo Auto Salon. Although TAS is already over this year haha.

There were a ton of R35s and even more Challengers. I didn't even get to see the whole show. We left the Springs Wed night and got there the next morning, slept til noon then went to the show. I dropped them off Friday morning and visited my old stompin grounds on Nellis AFB, then met up with them again at noon. So I only got 1 full day in. I wouldn't mind going back next year though. And maybe next year we won't hit a deer on the way there like we did this year haha.

We watched the parade of cars pulling out of the show on Friday night, which is where we got the video of the blown Rolls and the rat rod that left in front of it, along with many other nice cars. I really liked the yellow R34 GT-R too.

Overall I had a great time though.
