Engine Mounted Oil Catch Tank
Hey guys,
I'm trying to gauge interest on a potential GB for my engine mounted oil catch tank. This would be for the single turbo guys only. I need to add up the cost but I thinking it will be in the $150-$200 range depending on number of units. The capacity of the tank is 1.1 Litres. Note, I currently have 1/4" vent lines on there, but will most likely got to 3/8" or 1/2". Interest List: 1. CYD 2. John Magnuson 3. Scrubolio 4. 5. 6. 7. More pictures of current setup with everything installed.
This is of an older design that is currently on jkstill car and so far is very impressed with the performance. http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=729453&page=2 Note the back mounting tab, if you no longer have the mounting point on the engine rats nest cage I will need to do something different for you. |

I'm still on stock twins, but nice work.
I have a friend running a single who runs a tank for a 2 cycle oil source with his OMP. Seems like he's had issues with finding a suitable tank and location. Wondering out-loud if this could/would be option.

Yeah I can make it into a pre-mix tank, actually I was thinking of that as well earlier today.
I can make something special for him to maximize capacity as well, it will just be a bitch to install. |

Beautiful piece man. Why won't this work with the stock twins?

Because the vacuum chamber for the stock twin's sequential system normally occupies that space.

Ah thanks, might be worth relocating the vacuum chamber for this piece very clean looking.

I'd be very interested in this if you could do it. However, I've removed the rats nest and everything associated with it since I went single turbo---would need something other than the mounting tab that you have on the current prototype.

Already covered, I did the same with my setup. You just need to drill and tap the metal carrier bracket above the power steering pump tank.

That's an easy fix!
So when can we see a larger capacity version with an oil cap for a 2-stroke tank? Ready to write a check ![]() |

Oooh two stroke reservoir. That sounds good. How do you see the oil level and how do you drain it?

Sight line and ball valve at the bottom of the tank with a outlet line that long enough to go past the power plan frame. See photos on first page.
