Jesus, I wish I had one of those a last weekend.
I had to use a pry bar (that I wrapped with a rag many times, to be sure not to gnar the lobe) and a piece of Teflon between the side plate (to crush/ cushion) tha back side of the pry bar. with some penetrating oil and no tapping with a hammer, the lobe simply slid off with adequate pressure applied to the pry bar. I was surprised on how easy the lobe came off. I did this on 3 20B blocks and there was no damage. |
