Default Cold Air + Boost = Loss of traction and Boost Spike...

Took the car out today trying to use up all the old gas so I can add my premix with a new tank, did some boost runs with the boost controller on with the 1st setting at 12lbs and what happpens loss of traction, I can feel the rear tires giving, almost feels like clutch is slipping but instead of letting off I stay on it then waht happens, 17.7 lbs of boost, so the car hits boost cut since I have it set to cut at 17.5 lbs, kinda sucks but in a way it is good that the boost cut works good other wise buh bye motor...lol..

Hopefully it gets warmer so I can stay on it without worrying about spiking...

My Intercooler temp was at 3 degrees c....Let me tell you though it felt good boosting over 17lbs...

Kinda sucks too since I could have had a little fun with the blue subie with big mudguards, that thing is preety fast would have liked to see what my car can do against it...Another time....

LOL...No question really just mentioning what went on with my day when I took the car out, and I guess just stating that I am glad I went with a Electronic Boost Controller rather than a manual since it has a safety feature of cutting boost if it spikes...

not anymore, decided to maybe just go with a to4z with a halfbridge...but who knows I change my mind too much, for now I am deciding on getting the pettit flares so I can run 335 tires, just waiting on Rishie to get back to me about 12.5 RPF1 rims...

fwiw, friend of mine (speednyc on other forum) had a half bridge and went back to a street port. He said it wasn't much fun on the half bridge.

Funny you say that since my friend that will be building my motor is also telling me not to go half bridge and just go with a big streetport, I may just do that then...So undecided...lol...

Kai, please don't put pettit flares on your car! If anything run with the RE-Amemiya rear flares

I am still deciding, I saw that RE Amemiya has the new kit with flares, I may just go that route but still have to see how wide a tire I can run with them, I want run at least a 315 tire.....We'll see....
