So this is my '88 Anniversary RX-7 I bought September 30th '14 as a project and my first car. I purchased the car from a shop a little north of Hialeah for $600. Obviously as a shell it's gonna be missing a few parts but it's not as bad in this instance(Motor, tranny, driver seat, seat rails, door panels, driver side door handle, & passenger side headlight motor). I may be missing a few things but that's from the top of my head. After getting the car home and taken apart I've noticed a few things; the housing for the passenger headlight was bent with some slight rust and for some reason while pushing the car to the backyard the back wheels would occasionally lock up. Other than that and some rust on the roof and a dime sized rust hole on the passenger door the car is fairly good especially for what I bought it for.

To get started, I removed everything from the engine bay and cleaned everything up by washing it down and degreasing it. After letting it dry, my friends and I sanded it down and sprayed three layers of primer.

A while after I got more money saved up, I bought 180 & 80 grit sand paper, and bondo, to repair and fill th rust and holes on the car. I'm really nervous about this part because this is my first time doing this and I don't wanna mess up. While sanding the roof down it's coming out really good but I didn't realize that the sand paper was tearing the skin on my finger off.... nothing too serious though!

Nice to see a 10AE getting fixed up. What are your plans engine-wise?
