The Newbie

Hello
I am a new member of the Rotary Car club. I have owned three different rotary engine vehicles starting with the 1977 Mazda Rotary Pickup, then a 1979 RX7, which I traded for a 1985 RX7 GSL. I am now looking at getting a RX8, but haven't settled on the model or year yet. My dad, who passed away in September, also had a 1977 Mazda rotary Pickup, which he had owned since he bought it in 1977. I would like to keep it, but do not have the room to do so. I have been researching what the pickup is worth (it needs work on the body and probably tires, etc), if anyone can assist me in this I would appreciate it. Also if anyone can tell me if the RX8 had any problems I would appreciate it also. It is great to be able to talk to other Rotary Car enthusists. Glad to be a member of the club.

Welcome. Pics of said truck and where you're located would make it easier to judge, besides I'm nosey about REPUs. I want another one of these days.
The best RX8s to get are the second generation models. Most of the bugs with the first gens were worked out by then.

Are we allowed to start calling dibs on the truck if you are wanting to sell?
