Introducing myself
I guess this is where this is entered - a new thread?
So yah I love these critters. In '85 I was a Mazda salesman and the fools gave me a GSL as my demo. Drove it to spokane from west seattle in 3 hours one night. It would only hold 115mph but would do 120 with the lights off! In '06 I bought this BLACK GSL-SE in need of new apex seals. I had Atkins do thier street porting when they rebuilt it with mostly new parts. It is a manual steering car and I have removed most emissions stuff ( air pump/cat. etc. and all extra weight like the A/C and those stupid power windows. Otherwize with slightly modified injectors it is "bone stock " and considered by Atkins to be the most reliable rotors. Also modified the interior ( stupid door handlebar and center console box ) so that it is comfortable my 6'3" bod. The first motor lasted to 215k miles and it now has 231k but the car is as tight as new ( the paint - people assume it is a reprint - and interior are excelent ) having had everything rebuilt or replaced with parts from a 115k clone I parted out. I drive it daily often hauling stuff like a small station wagon ) and on some very long trips searching for winding roads. I have had fast muscle cars and actually like the solid posi rear axle because I like spinning it when the rear end gets too far out - rally style. So - looking for Wankelers in West Seattle! You have a brother named Austin? Are you real? Anyway, all seriousness aside, welcome to the forum. I think you'll fit in just fine. I'm 6'1" and don't have any issues fitting in my SA. I think we need pics or it didn't happen. LOL
