Hello from SW Virginia!
Hello all, glad to be a part of this forum.
I have a 1983 RX7 GSL that is in the process of becoming a ChumpCar race car. I'm building the car with my father (he's the funding, I'm the labor). I've worked in racing for 6 years, and have spent the past 4 years working in the Continental Tire series. I come from the BMW world, but that's how I got this car. Long story short, I traded work on a friend's e36 race car for the car. The big thing the car needs is a cage, but we are working on that. We hope to have the car finished so we can race next year. Hopefully, I can unload some of the excess parts Mazda put into the car (that we don't need ) to help fund the project. I recently graduated with a BS in Motorsports Engineering, so I've got plenty of ideas to do with the car, so maybe we can discuss them a bit on here in the future. Jake |
