powerplant frame

We re-enforce this power plant frame, with adding some metal plates and welding all spots on the frame that where weak spots. We will be offering this as a service.

What are your welders qualifications? What type of quality control are you using? Is this done in a jig? Dimensional accuracy after welding?

how are the welds when compared to those on your turbo exhaust manifolds?

Really! Have you actually taking the time to look at a stock power-plant frame, there are maybe 5 weld spots on stock frame. The rest of the frame is put together with glue, so we re-enforced all gap to solid welds and removed all glue.

Yes I have. I have never seen one damaged by a powerplant ever. There are mounts to break,Mounting brackets, and bolts!

Hence useless...

If you where by some miracle trying to box out the suspension then you also went about it wrong. You should have fabbed a strut bar and x member for underneath.

Maybe consult an engineer when you are developing products.

Because:

Does it make the powerplant base stronger? No

Does it make the suspension or chassis stiffer? No

Does it add weight? Yes

What does this service do?

How much does it cost is the only thing I want to know anymore?

Shipping to you $50 not mentioning time labor to get it out of the car + what?

Where you're welding the PPF they never break. Perhaps look at a few that have broken and take the time to figure out how to fix them. Your adding longitudinal stiffness, not the torsional stiffness that they require... well... at least all the ones that I've repaired anyway. But what do I know, I'm only a professional fabricator

They do break, but where he's welding them, I've never seen one break.. They usually crack around the mounts to the diff because people have shitty motor mounts or excessive wheel hop. Brace the engine properly and use some good mounts and you'll likely never have a problem...
