Default FS: '86 Sport - Rebuilt - Turbo - Haltech - RB Exhaust - Track Ready

I bought the car in 2003 with about 120k miles on it and put about 17k on since then. It’s a Sport edition with sunroof. This car has been my passion for over 10 years now but I just think it might be time to move on. It’s a great car but I’m looking for a dedicated track car and I would just feel too bad about gutting this one/caging it, etc. It started life as a bone stock S4 N/A and has since become an S4/5 boosted 6 port.

This car is ready to go and is reliable as it sits and can be used for daily status. With the right mods it can be turned into a very quick car. It has the supporting mods needed to make 300whp+ with a simple turbo compressor change (BNR turbo), and 400whp+ with a manifold/turbo/downpipe.

The interior is a mixture of S4 and S5; I combined the better of the two for a cleaner look. The exterior is probably what you would expect for a 27 year old car that hasn’t been repainted. The driver’s side rear quarter panel has repairable rust and the passenger side front fender has a large dent. S5 exterior (doors, bumpers, fenders, trim) come with the car.

Below is a list of modifications or replaced items. Most of this has occurred in the past 5 years. The car remained basically stock and untouched for a long time as I simply didn’t have the money to work on it while in college. Anything from the past few months/miles was to make sure it was track ready. It’s now performed extremely well at 2 track days so reliability isn’t an issue.

Engine/Drivetrain:
Rebuilt S4 N/A block, mild streetport (14,000 miles)
Compression numbers available upon request
S5 turbo, ported wastegate
S5 turbo manifold, milled completely flat to ensure a perfect seal
Racing Beat 2.5” downpipe
Borla midpipe – uninstalled RB 2.5” presilencer included as well
Racing Beat Road Race y-pipe
Racing Beat Road Race mufflers

Clutch/Transmission:
S4 TII transmission with Redline fluid
ACT 6 puck sprung clutch (300 miles)
ACT Heavy Duty pressure plate (300 miles)
New pilot bearing (300 miles)
New pilot bearing seal (300 miles)
New throw-out bearing (300 miles)
New clutch pivot ball (300 miles)
Speedo cable O-ring seal (300 miles)
Transmission rear main seal (300 miles)
TII driveshaft, modified to fit N/A rear end
Shifter return spring (300 miles)
Stainless steel clutch line

Fuel/EMS:
Haltech E6K, laptop included.
Walbro 255
ID 1000cc primary injectors
Bosch 1600cc secondary injectors
Powdercoated secondary fuel rail

Engine Peripherals:
Koyo radiator
Godspeed intercooler kit
Cold air intake
Powerdercoated relocated power steering bracket
New Clutch master cylinder (300 miles)
New Clutch slave cylinder (300 miles)
Powdercoated S4 UIM
Powdercoated S4 LIM, port matched to 6 port block
Powdercoated water pump housing
Newer Water pump (1000 miles)
Powdercoated TII front cover
Removed all emissions equipment
ReSpeed oil filter pedestal
E-fan
Newer Alternator (1k miles, warranty included)
Dual alternator pulley
Moroso 1 quart oil catch can

Interior:
S4 TII Seats, Black - left thigh bolster on driver’s side is sloppy (just like all of them)
S4 and S5 black interior
S5 radio surround
Prosport Premium (Peak/Warning) Water Temp Gauge (Prosport Gauges Peak Hold Warning Gauges-52mm Peak recall gauges, Boost, EGT, Oil Pressure, Water temp & More)
Prosport Premium Oil Temp Gauge
Prosport Premium Fuel Pressure Gauge
Prosport Premium Oil Pressure Gauge
Innovate MTX-L AFR Gauge
Autometer Boost Gauge
Rubber shifter boots
Shifter plate/seal - the one that you put the bolts through to secure the shifter (300 miles)
Tail-light seals (1000 miles – less than 1 year)
Hatch seal (1000 miles – less than 1 year)
Black floor mats (seen better days, but hey, they’re original)
New Gel Cell battery (less than 1 year)
Relocated battery to passenger side bin

Chassis:
SSR Mark II rims, 16”, painted gunmetal
Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval Indy 500 tires (4000 miles – great tread left), 225/50/16 front, 245/45/16 rear
Tokico HP struts
Racing Beat springs
New front strut tops
Energy Suspension polyurethane front bushings (have the rear in the box that come with the car)
Remanufactured TII calipers on all 4 corners
Hawk HPS pads (40-50% left)
Stainless steel brake lines (Mazdatrix)
Speed bleeders on all 4 corners

Those are the highlights. There’s not much, if anything, on this car that I haven’t fixed/replaced. I could part this out and make more, however I’d rather see it go to a good home.

I have quite a few parts that could go with it for the right price. Switches, sensors, a full S5 exterior (2 bumpers, 2 fenders, 2 doors with all trim) that could go with it, etc.

$3700 OBO

i can personally vouch for this car, as i did the street tuning and dyno tuning on it.

the car made 200whp on a Dyno Dynamics heartbreaker dyno at low boost through the 2.5" exhaust.

also, it shoots gnarly flames (this is me in the driver seat)

Known Robert for years and saw this car at DGRR 2013. The car is well put together and the next owner will not be disappointed.
