Mazdarx7 gs 12a
Greetings all. I got me a rotary car for 400 cash recently and have been looking to car show an maybe track race with it. My current problem is it needs an engine rebuild. No clue how to do it an no clue where to find parts with out paying an arm and a leg. Currently I am parking it, the front seal went an it wont hold oil.

Welcome to the forum! on occasion you can find people selling 12A's for super cheap, depending on how much you are willing to spend.
Depending on your budget, you might could also pick up a "parts" car with a good motor in it, and canabalize one of them? |

I'm in Idaho. Mine has 165k miles 2nd engine. Gonna be dropping the third motor in soon. Been way to busy though. Carb is barely functioning an the oil leak is getting worse. Rugged lil car though, was think worst comes to worst i found a few nissan engines that will fit. I know bad ju ju but i know nissan a tad better an more off the line power.

where are you? boise? used to live in boise / mtn. home.
is the oil leak from the cracked iron? (ie unstoppable from side of engine?) there is an idaho rotary group, i think on facebook and they have a website. guy ahold of either Monte or RXTascy (spelling?) on Rx7club / occasionally here. Both in idaho and very helpful

Sorry been away again im in twin falls. The leak is the front keg oil rinf between the front rotar and the front plate that holds the water pump. the new 200 dollar engine is almost ready to drop in just got a new block heater an carburator. I'm getting a 4 port injection system and a computer that will run off the distributor, fully tuneable to squeeze every thing i can from it. Also will be building the second keg i have port an polished with new guts excluding the accentric an rotors. i inverted the camber for drifting. loves it on ice.
