1994 Mazda Rx-7 Touring (53,172 miles) Needs Rebuild
Up for sale is my 1994 Mazda Rx-7 touring. It is vintage read with black interior. This is by far the cleanest FD I have personally seen. The car has 53,172 miles on it. All original, with one owner before myself and has never seen a winter. No rust whatsoever. There are a few scrapes and dings but nothing you would not expect from a car of this age. I have always kept it inside a heated bulding when stored. I also have all the original literature and window sticker that came with the car. (I apologize for the pictures as the car is very dusty.)
The car did have a small engine fire two years ago. I had an extinguisher and put the flames out right away (only burned for 15-20 seconds) and the fire department sprayed the engine to be safe. The only parts burned were under the intake manifold. I replaced everything needed. The car has zero compression on any rotor face due to the fire department spraying the engine bay. Water worked its way inside the block via the exposed vacuum ports and while the car sat seized the apex seals. All of the internals should be completely re-usable aside from new seals and gaskets. Items replaced: New OEM wire harness All new turbo solenoids and used emissions solenoids. New OEM PD New OEM FPR Cleaned and balanced injectors New OEM fuel lines New OEM clutch kit will be included All new Hose Techniques silicone vacuum hoses. The previous owner had the turbos and exhaust manifold replaced with new units. The turbos are currently off the car in an attempt to free up the stuck seals to no effect. I have no more cash or time to put into this car. A new house and baby due in April are my priorities now. All someone needs to do is pull the engine and have it rebuilt with new seals and you will have a very nice low mile FD. I can re-install the turbos if you wish but it is probably counter productive as they will have to come off again anyway. The car has a clean WI title but please check your states laws about purchasing a car from another state. $9,000 firm. If anyone wants to see the true condition of this car, I invite you to come and take a look. You will most certainly not be disappointed. No trades except for a lower mile turbo FC plus cash. Thanks for looking! Last edited by Jturbo; 12-14-2012 at 01:10 AM.. |
