WTT: Ducati 1098 2007

So I'm looking to go back to school next year and I don't have a vehicle. I'd like to get myself a zippy FD3S. Yes, I watched too much Initial D. Bought a 2007 STi way back and sold it after getting too many tickets. With the 1098 at least the tickets are optional... in a way.

THE BAD

This is moments after hitting an oil slick at 35-40mph. This was about a year ago. The plastic was obviously damaged and the clutch was destroyed. The grated clutch cover was a cheap part put on by original owner and didn't protect clutch.

Anyways, I trailered her home and spent 4 months saving and working to rebuild her.

THE GOOD

She runs great, no gashes in frame, no bends or tweaks, runs straight, sounds wicked!

I never replaced the right side mirror but I hate dog ears so it wasn't a priority.

Even has a proximity sensor alarm. Scorpion model which cost like 400-500.

Beside a complete disassembly she got some new parts as well. The clutch assembly was replaced. The cover is now a super beefy beautiful Woodcraft. The grips are D3 grips.

Plastics have been replaced and the rear tail has a small scuff which could just use some paint. I have the decals 50 for after the tail is painted for re application.

Lowwer plastic, black in pictures, is now carbon fiber weave. New radiator (not a result of accident but a recall) and the exhaust has been cored and the butterfly valve ommitted with a special little cnc'd metal piece so it won't trip an engine code.

Due for a service interval and currently resting in my garage.

Also bought a new battery for her.

HERE IS WHAT I'M WANTING

I'm feeling for possible trades. I'd like a 3rd gen rx7 ready for autox but still street legal. Will also be interested in stock rx7 and I can autox prep it as I go. For right car I would add cash for sure.

Any questions feel free. I don't check on here often but I will update the email to this forum and turn on notifications. Thanks! Here are some more pictures with descriptions.

Starting the process of dressing her down.

At the time of this undertaking I put her in my living room. Great being single... well then.

Clutch after the damaged one was removed. Current clutch is a Barnet.

In all her glory renewed. Still needs some small finishing touches but she is a beauty none the less.
