Is my Eshaft usable?
Hey guys can I still use this eshaft it had rust on it and I decided to polish it off with some fine steel wool. Here's the result, if I can't use this can I use the rx8 shaft without switching the rear stat gear and modifying any oil passage? I will be building this engine with s4 rotors and s5 housing its a 6port. Thank you for your time. I also hope I can find all the nuts and bolts when I assemble the engine. Its my fear that I can't find everything =( |

on my computer the photo is not showing up - just a red "X".
that said ... if you've pulled the shaft apart and cleaned it thoroughly, if there is no pitting on the surface and (most of all) if it still specs, then i say use it. i've refurbished a handful of shafts with some minor rusting and used them without issue. |
