Default Part out profit

There is a 84 na that just got put out at the local junkyard. Is there a way to test the engine with out turning the car on? Also I get parts dirt cheap is there anything of value that I should save before it gets torn to shreads. I plan on picking up the engine and cracking her open to see if there are any saveable parts. I drive a 90 with a turbo swap so I have no.use.for any of these parts but I figured someone else might. If you need any thing hit me up. Ill post the.model when I get up there to see it.

Did you mean to post "84" as in 1984?
Once I get confirmation, I'll move this thread to the appropriate section.
