Identify this plug?
I was patching up my S5 N/A harness to prep for finishing my rebuild. I'm going over all the wires, plugs, etc. to make sure I fix anything BEFORE it goes back in the car.
I've bought what I thought were two spare S5 N/A harnesses to steal good parts from. So I was in the midst of soldering on a better water thermosensor. The green rectangular two pin that sits on the back of the water pump housing. Thankfully I noticed a difference in one of the plugs. The slot is on the opposite side. ![]() I dug out my thermosensor and sure enough it only will fit the one with the correct notch. Unfortunately I have 3 bad ones that have the correct notch and 1 good one with the opposite notch. What is this plug for? Was I perhaps taking from a S4 harness? |

I don't suppose you can get the wire colors out the back?
It'll make it a lot easier to track down what it's for... -Ted |

IIRC, the BACV plug is like that. As Ted said though, the colors would make it easy to track down.

All the other injector clips are S5 style.

Black/white stripe (B/W) Blue/green stripe (L/G) but the blue is dark so it might be (DL/G) On the S5 thermosensor wiring it is Brown/black stripe (BR/B) Green/white stripe (G/W)though the wires I have are so discolored it almost looks like Black/tan I'm thinking of getting out my dremel and cutting a notch and using it. Maybe on a s5 the plug on the left looks exactly like my bac plug.

Anyone know how to describe these connectors/terminals? I'd like to get new ones and use new wires.
