rx4 coupe 12a help

hi good people, im planning to drop a 12a rx7 engine and 5 speed into my rx4 coupe. now its auto and twin dizzy 12a. the only mods to the engine will be electronic distributor and extractors.

can someone look at these photos:

i think its a 1979 model engine, but i dont know, what im most concerned about is the shifter fitting through the rx4 floor without cutting. what do you people think?

what year engine do you think it is?

as for propellor shaft, would a rx7 sa22 12a manual tailshaft bolt up to the rx4 diff? my diff is from an auto 12a. also, do rx7 sa22 diff centres bolt straight in to the original rx4 12a diff?

thanks

david

NoDOHC will become famous soon enough
I don't know much about RX4s.

The only advise that I can give you is that this section does not see much traffic. Maybe a post in the Old school rotary section would be more useful.
