Default Vac hose size?

So replacing the injectors/injector seals, I broke more than a couple vac lines and went to get some replacement. I took along one of the old pieces and 5mm has a slightly smaller ID than the old pieces. i come home and test fit the hose before I cut it, expecting it to be snug. It's loose! Do I need 4mm hose, or will it seal well enough...[?] Mazdatrix lists 3.5mm and 6mm hose, but the pieces I removed look bigger than 3.5mm, and are definitely smaller than 6mm.

I'm running the mazdatrix silicon hose and they fit correctly. I would recommend getting them or some that are the same id. They do look alot smaller than the stretched out oem rubber hose, but I believe that the silicon has alot more stretch than the rubber does.

SG Imports closes @ 5:30 and I need to prep for class. I'll return the 5mm stuff tomorrow and grab some 3.5mm. I fantasize about the semi-pp 4-port I have planned...sigh.

It'll be worth all of the trouble.

The semi-PP 13B or the silicone hoses? I have no damn doubt that silicone hoses will be worth the effort. But Lucy's hear needs a rebuild soon anyway, and I want her back together ASAP, so I won't wait for the nice stuff right now.

it's the 3.5mm for the small hoses. If you go to autozone they don't have metric hose usually, just fyi.

Yeah, they have 5/16" rubber hose, and that size fits a bit loose, so you need to zip tie each connection.

The 3.5mm silicone stuff works the best for cars IMO.
