need new rear oe calipers

hey everybody, i'm just wondering if anyone know where i can source some new oe rear calipers from? i hit up ray from Malloy and he says that he is looking for somewhere to find them since mazda is not producing them any longer.

if anybody knows where i can pick up a set, please let me know.

thanks, mark

thanks Garfinkle, i found a website that does reman's and i looked at beck arnley but they don't have the rears from what i can see. i am going to wait for ray to get back in a couple days and see if he found some oe ones for me. if not i will buy the reman's, i'm going to powder coat them and rebuild anyways so hopefully the will last.

rhd has the spirit rears but they want almost 600 bux per caliper, not including shipping so that is a lil more than i wanted to spend. plus they are red and i need black.

Can you get rebuild kits for yours and we can sand blast them.have them powdercoated and rebuilt .All of mine are powder coated and I rebuilt them. On the front ones I ground off the Mazda name .I drilled the rotors and powdercoated the hubs, top hats .

that is actually the plan for the new ones........take em apart and have em powder coated then just rebuild em. the old ones are not bad, but i didn't have a deadblow hammer when i was taking them off and kinda dented them up. i really like the brake set up you did for phil, but i already went with the racing brake set up......and i just want the rear calipers to look as good as they can to match the new fronts.

djmtsu will become famous soon enough
I might be able to hook you up with some rebuild kits. I work for Beck/Arnley. I checked inventory, and the rears are basically permanently out of stock. We do have one side in stock, but the other is MIA. I can check Monday about the kits, I get quite a deal

Read DJs above and think can I,Garfinkle, smooth out the dents with a die grinder and get them ready for powder coating .

yeah i know you could probably do that, but that would take a lot more time than just ordering the reman's and getting them painted. if i sent them to you, would you do the whole process? take apart, clean, repair, get powder coated, rebuild, and then mail back? what kinda price and timeline we talkin bout?

thanks for the info DJ.....we'll see where this goes

later, mark

Hard to price without seeing the dents and taking them to the powder coat place to price . The rebuild with new kits should not take long .See how much the reman parts are and guess how much to smooth out the old old ones the sand blasting will be a short time and taking them apart is short time. If you want send the old ones to me and I will take them apart and smooth them .If it cost to much then you are going to buy remans any way .I think I can save you money and you know I will not jack any one up, not my way to do bussiness .If I can not make them look good then I will stop and no charge .You know my look good standard is high .If the remans are more than( guess ) $30 each let me see your old ones .
