Default I made it home from DGRRX safely but...

I'll start this one off...

I made it home safely from DGRRX but blew my motor in my FD today right after the dam around 1pm and decided it has never let me stranded so I drove home on 1 rotor.

My previous motor blew 3 miles from my home and I made it home on one rotor so I figured this one could make it 300 miles. It did!

Post how you made it home blown or running perfect..

I made it home.. after leaving Bham 11PM friday night (got 3.5 hours night before), got to NVNC at 4AM saturday, slept 2.5 hours, ran around and left NVNC at midnight, got home around 4:30AM CST... I got about 6 hours of sleep today

Kevin and Amber picked up some food for me and my wife with his blown engine. Quite amazing car!

Nothing, absolutely nothing. And its been only two weeks since i finished my single swap. I won so many bets back home. 1200 miles not a problem. :-D

oh, my gallon of 2 cycle fell over and leaked into my spare tire well, but thats not a mechanical failure :-P

Damn Kevin, that's crazy. When I popped my engine at the top of my street I could barely get her into the driveway

I drove my old FC once for a year with a blown rear rotor . There's different grades of blown engines - a chipped apex seal will idle a little rough and be hard to start, but will run and drive fine. The more the apex seal lets go, the rougher the engine runs and the harder it is to start, sometimes the motor flat won't start or has pretty much zero power to drive.

Glad you made it home! Hopefully Rich will post how he did with his transmission.

I made it home great, Phil and I had an awesome time, the car ran and performed beautifully. Can't wait for next year!

Glad you made it home Kevin. She didn't sound happy, but sounded determined to keep running when we parted ways just before the 129.
As for "how we made it home" we'll let you know when we make it. In a hotel off the side of I-81 at the moment. We didn't hit the road until around 4 or 5. Did the Dragon again, the Skyway etc.
Plan to make it home sometime Tuesday most likely. (Breaking the trip up a bit to still try and have a bit of a vacation out of all of it.)

Barry Bordes and Chuck Westbrook got a flat and Barry's spare was low on air. They used a can of fix a flat and had to go 60 mph from north AL to Slidell LA due to a bad vibration.

After the water pump started leaking on saturday afternoon and then I spotted water in the oil sunday I thought I had some major trouble coming my way but the Deuce made it all the way home with no issues other than leaking about 1/4 gallon of water every 50miles.

1 ignition switch and needs a good harness side connector now after the 12+ pin rattled loose half way home . I did a full 2nd gear high boost pull on the on ramp after eating lunch and BOOM! Thought the engine grenaded.Thankfully I noticed the symptoms and traced back to the switch and put a new spade connector in the haness side to get home. 1 thermostat on the dragon friday. Other than that ok. Rich made it to scrub's house (Dan) in Delaware and is heading to the shop right now. Had a great time! G

Post how you made it home blown or running perfect..
Funny thing is: I've driven over 1500 miles on one rotor... I think a total of about 2500 give or take 500 miles.
