Default 93 ONIGIRI build

immigrating from okinawa and working in the rotary biz since 1995, i eventually purchased a 1993 base model FD3S (auto)... yeah. don't ask me why i ended up getting an auto FD, but my future posts will provide useful information.

09/11/04: 75k (9k on rebuild) full stock, except for the after market stereo system.

That's an awful big box for a single 10" sub (?) But then again I'm just jealous.

VERY nice - I hope when I'm ready to get in the FD scene there are still clean ones like that available!

08/22/2005: 78K (FUEL FILTER, DIFFERENTIAL MOUNTS)
As I was doing the tranny swap, it was a good time to replace the fuel filter, which needed replacement after hard morning start ups.

RP Fuel Filter

This is probably one of the worst locations for replacing the fuel filter, which I also decided to replace the differential mounts.

08/22/2005: 78K (Fuel Pump)
After installing a new fuel filter, it was a good time to install a new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator.

08/22/2005: 78K (Suspension)
After 12 years of use on the original suspension, it was time to swap out and replace them with new suspension reinforcements.

07/02/2006: 78K (Cooling)

At this time, all necessary cooling upgrades were add, which modifying a poorly designed intercooler was a must. The original design blocks off the air flow for the radiator, which in Japan a common mod would be to cut a core out (this does not affect the performance of the FMIC).

This is probably one of the worst mods that I have done. Definitely drains if you don't start up within a week, yet convenient fit within its original space.
