Default Oil Leak!

So I've got a mysterious oil leak coming from the rear of the engine. Definitely engine oil, not transmission fluid. It's definitely not the drain plug, and it's not coming from the oil filter. Possibly a leak from the oil pan itself? What else back there could be leaking? It's definitely enough to leave some decently-sized spots on the garage floor. I'm relatively new to the RX-7 so I'm not yet familiar with the problem sports.

Yes it's possible your pan is leaking where it meets the block. I'd imagine it's also possible the rear main seal is leaking. Open your clutch access panel or pull your starter and peek in with a light and maybe a mirror on a stick. Maybe you'll be able to see something that'll help.

I had a problem with my oil pan bolts on the rear of the pan loosening over time.

A little blue threadlock, and it hasn't leaked in years.

^^^ Don't know how I missed that.

On an unrelated note, that site stop working for me a few days ago (kept getting unresolved host name errors) after about 10 minutes of browsing. Everything seems good now except for some red x pictures...

Hopefully this weekend I will get more of a chance to get down there, clean up the current mess and take a closer look. Been remodeling the entire kitchen so no play time with the FC

Gotta excuse the hosting problems.
The uptime stats I've seen so far from the hosting service shows around 90% availability.
Although 10% downtime sounds trivial, it's about 2 and a half hours per day!

Just be patient and try a few hours later.
If you need quicker answers, try shoot me an email that's posted in my .sig.
I'm normally checking email several times a day anyways.
