Fuel leak and headlights
I just had a rebuilt on my 10AE. It leaks fuel after it's been running for about 5 mins. Around the area below in the pic. There's a gas puddle on the ground and when the drips hit the exhuast pipes, it turns into white smoke.
Any suggestions on why my headlights aren't working, I've checked the fuses. Yes, I did a search and nothing really helped. Going through the FSM right now. |

Fuel leak is likely stemming from the feed lines/rails. More then likely a pulsation dampner failure or a cracked rubber line.
Pull the UIM and take a peek, that one should be obvious. As far as the headlights go, if the wiring isn't all jacked up - the 30amp fuse under the hood should be providing their power. Check for power at the fuse, if there's nothign coming in, then your problem is before the fuse, if powers coming in, then it has to be after. Can't really perscribe too much until we know which side the problem lies. ![]() |

You can test the fuel system by making your fuel pump run with the car not running.

Update: Thx guys
Found the leak under the IM, the clamp on the hose to the fuel feed line wasn't tight and/or strong enough. PD looks good, still has screw in it. Still having problems with the headlights, all fuses and bulbs are good. Checked the connections behind the headlights and the 4pin relay with a voltmeter. No power to the plug, relay has continuity, going to check the switch tomorrow. Any other suggestions? |

Check both ends of the harness that plugs into the switch for burnt connections.
The harness/switch were trouble spots in the headlamp circuit. |
