my first build!!
well i have had the car for almost 2 months now...ive only driven twice up an down my street. on the day i was going to have it registered it started smoking heavily,so i went online to see what i could gt as a response.
blown coolant seals. so i went with it knowing the engine had to be torn down. not knowing anything about rotary engines i panicked and tried to get some one to help me through it,so my savior toby aka novice rotary tech aided my call. he arrived to asses the damage and confirmed the coolant seals. so from tear down to back up ill post. the car at day 1 2 weeks after engine tear down discovery of wroughted coolant seals that lead to seal failure.never let your car sit too long with water in it, previous owner also ran nitrous threw it new housing and other new parts

For some reason I believe he has a TII center iron.
Look at the pictures with the center iron in them. In the 1st post, look at the last picture, there is a hole right under an next to the oil filler neck hole toward the front of the engine. Isn't that where the knock sensor goes on a turbo motor? Just wondering if the ports in the center iron of turbos are different than the center iron ports in n/a's.? Are they smaller? I should know this by now. Last edited by N.RotaryTech; 02-27-2009 at 03:33 PM.. |
