when I swapped a walbro into my FC it killed the OEM relay first time i keyed on. dunno if the FD relay is designed for more amps, but either way- old relays are old.

Just to let you all know, Carter won the SSM Solo National Championship yesterday with this car. Pretty well destroyed the field. Finished 1.9 seconds clear of 2nd place! Congrats to Carter and his dad Jim for their hard work.

Thanks Chris!

Here is the write up on the SCCA forums and the results link for those interested. Once I recover from the long week I will post up some videos and pictures. I obviously fixed my fuel pump issues too. The car ran perfectly all week.

SCCA Forum write ups:

http://www.sccaforums.com/home/aid/947

Results: Just scroll to page #38

http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...%20Results.pdf

here is a link to some photos. These are the TN gang hanging out and at the awards banquet. I will get some action stuff later. In SSM the winner pick out a hat to wear at the awards banquet, all the SSM trophy winners get one. just in case you were wondering why we had crazy hats on. I am the bald dude and Jim is the guy in the sun glasses in a red jacket.

When did you go to the big rear wing? Thought you had a plexi spoiler.

I started the 2012 season with the wing. I did some butt dyno testing comparing the wing vs. the spoiler and the car did better with the wing in high speed transitions. I prefer the spoiler over the wing but I have to go with what makes it faster on the track.

Oh here is a link to Perry Bennett's pictures. This is the SSM class link.

Well it is never easy. The towel was on the exhaust so we would not blow over 100 db's on the sound meter. After our first runs we blew 101 db's, if we did it twice we are DQ'd for those runs. You could say I was a little stressed out.
After we finished the second runs they announced that the meter was placed incorrectly and the first meter readings would be thrown out. all the races leading up to this one I have always been around 90-92 db's.

Here are the videos of my 2nd and 3rd runs. the closest time on the west course was 56.7... Also i turned the boost down a little so I could hit tighter lines around the course since it was getting a little dirty. I need to work on the boost delivery, it was too violent to run my higher boost settings.

Don't know what happened on the You tube download but the vids are messed up a little. I will try and fix.

haha

You keep telling me you are going to show up but never do. Please let me know if you do go to a local event because I usually do not attend those. I will go just to see you bro. I am looking into buying a shifter kart for the local events then I will go to them

You in a shifter cart!??!!?! You already place first everytime you come out... You need to lose a couple to make everybody else feel like winners.

Have you considered Synapse Synchronic wastegates?

My understanding is they do not use a diaphragm, so maybe there is less of a heat issue with them.
