Very true. Even though I don't like the old venue, it is starting to look like our best option.

Well, as I can't make it due to crap work scheduling something the same time, I am heading up the first weekend in April with the family and some friends (I refuse to go a year without a dragon fix!) and will be staying at Fontana. They were what we had to go with because we are bringing a trailer or two and were the only ones with a lot big enough to park them. They have given us a military discount (WIN), but I will be checking the place out very thoroughly for any and all issues that have been mentioned here, so if anyone else has any other Fontana complaints speak up please. I will let everyone know how it went, perhaps this may be helpful with planning next year...? I will at least give Phil my feedback on my stay there.

I doubt their ability to cater to a small group will be a problem. It was when they had us and the Porsche Club, we sure weren't getting the custom treatment lol

We have a lot more people now, and I'm sure we would have even more if there was more space at the event lodging.

Yeah, at this point DGRR is not anything close to a small event, or even a small club gathering, but rather massive revenue for the lodge. If anything it wouldn't hurt to approach them with the idea of hosting and see what is said. If my restaurant was up there I would be bending over backwards to get the business.

Maybe my point was missed. I was saying how they accommodate your party may not be a great example of how they treat 100 of us lol.
