Every year since Sevenstock IV our club (Rotary Car Club of Arizona) has hosted the "Big List Happy Hour" prior to the Sevenstock Banquet. It's a great way to "get to know other list members" an hour or two before the banquet. We meet in the hotel bar area. I'll be there with nametags and you write your real name and Forum Alias on the nametag so people can get to know each other. You don't even need to go to the banquet to participate in the Happy Hour. Just show up (and buy me drinks, of course)!!

EDIT: i should read more before I post silly question...hotel bar 1-2 hours before banquet...

yes it normally does. Most people drink a little before drinking some more (mostly to avoid the price-gouging in bars/clubs). Since we're not going to have a cocktail party in a person's room (right?) then the pre-drinking will happen at the bar (meeting spot) before the banquet.

BTW, how do we attend said banquet? Pay for tix? walk up and pay? sneak in?

personally i was hoping to find a way to jump out of a rotor shape cake as it was being presented to the quest speakers...
