You hate electrical, and yet want to do a non-Honda/Nissan swap?
If looking at wiring diagrams gives you a headache then either buy a Supra or pay someone to do the swap. It's not that bad, the hard part is figuring out where the wires get routed.

All said accessories will work regardless of whats goin on in the engine bay. My old 89 GXL had nothing but the alternator wire and of course the battery connected. (It was carbed BTW)

Edit: The tachometer will need to be connected and that is easy. All FC's have a single wire test connector on the driver side somewhat in-between the starter relay and the Clutch slave cylinder. It is yellow and has a female bullet style connector.

ok sorry havent been able to get to a computer for a bit and just finally got started back on the swap everything is out of the engine bay and starting to figure out wiring.. i hate electrical but i can do it easily and it will all be done im doing the 2j swap into the mk3 next to my rx7 also.. heres a couple pictures and will have more up soon project is starting to get going a little smoother

im sure itll be fun when it gets put together... but im really against 2j swapping. more against piston swapping a rotary. either way good luck with the build man!

ok so the 2j is being put on hold for right now.. bought another 88 se rx7 to get parts for my car and dd it

When I fit a 2J, the problem is the deck is about 3/4 of an inch higher than the 1J. This is why I went 1JZ because I did want to keep a sway bar and keep the oilpan out of the rocks, and also keep a stock hood.

The body harness and the engine harness are 2 completely different things in response to your last question.

Build hit the fan and sold for way more then i had invested, thread can be closed.. DId get a 84 fb keeping 12a in it
