They are not "new" engines.
It sounds like you're looking at imported J-spec, used engines.
Like with anything used, you take your chances.

Yeah, but roughly 35k miles surely cant be in horrible shape......COmpared to my 210k.

They comes out of junked cars.
Some of these cars were wrecked due to accidents.
Some of these cars blew their engines - that's why they were junked!

"Low mileage" don't mean jack when rainwater gets inside the engine.
Yes, that's right - some of these engines sit outside in puddles of water.
Don't be fooled by the super clean look just by eyeballing the engine on the pallet - these engines have been pressure washed and sprayed with clear coat (paint) to make them look really pretty.

EXACTLY!!!! hell go to your local u pull-it or pick & pull and tell me how many "low mileage" motors from there youll take lol anyone whos been there knows how those engines sit there hood popped rain sitting in every spot yada yada thats basically the motor your getting from these 'importers'
