To be honest, to those that WANT this hood that price + 100 shipping is still a deal in comparison to when you could get one brand new. Those few that do have this hood stateside have said they've spent a MINIMUM of 1,700 to get it to their door.

Granted you could probably get a used one to your door at about this same price, it A: isn't new, B: might not be in the best condition, and C: could take you months, maybe even years, to even find one.

Just spoke with him some more on AIM and he said he's about 85% confident he'll be making the hood. He said the main reason why the first GB for this bombed was because someone wanted the Sexy Style hood and a lot of people jumped the bandwagon for that instead.

Yeah, no. FRP is perfectly acceptable for me. I actually the shine front nose and while it was less than prefect ( I bought it used) it was fairly wasy to work strait, and add a little FG to the ducts to line up better with my oil-coolers.

2. The online store for the Garage Kagotani site is down so I can't tell you the exact price at current exchange rate but I do know it should be less than 700. Tom (Circuit Theory on the forums) and RHDJapan can get them.
Cool, thanks. I think I'll wait and see what happens with Shine first as i actually like the Panspeed hood better. I like the idea of a vent over the turbines, although I wish it was symetrical on the other side, and the fact that the main vent is also symetrical.

Kill all the fanbois and let the people who actually know something about these hoods be made aware

Very true, although $1,700 is a tough nut to swallow for a body part. Especially on that I'll instantly be taking a DA to and then glassing the shit out of it...... just that much more reason I'm thinking about building my own. If I ruin a $400 hood, I wouldn't be nearly as pissed off.

Awesome man. I'm very interested, I'd out a deposit down, I'd be number 10 just to get it done for $5-600 each. We'll see what happens. It's also a timing thing. I kinda need it now...... or in two weeks actually.

In the 10 range he said they'd be approx 575 and he seems a little more keen on getting 10 but shot 15 for optimism. We gotta spread the word as he said the hoods are cake in comparison to other body parts.

Well, we got three here, maybe four, I say 3-4 on the evil forum. We should be able to get 10. I would think that would be doable. Lemme talk to my buddy and see if he wants one.

I would think that hoods would be the hardest part. Especially a hood like the FC's that is just so damn wide and flat. I had a hard time working my factory hood to get it to the condition that I wanted it and I still wasn't happy with it. Granted it was hit and some of the underbody bracing seperated from the skin which made blocking it really hard. To get something true like that in the mold is VERY hard in my experience.

Fucking lil Hypertek, hope he isn't still slapping CA in the face by calling his gay style the "Cali slam" and crap.

Enough of them, gotta get hoods made...Lemme see if SHP can get a Shine auto GB going soon for these hoods and just bomb twitter, facebook, myspace and whatever else forums you can think of. 1 should be easy, right?

Yeah, I've gotten into it a few times with him. He keeps saying shit like, "why you gotta be dissing on the way they do it on the homeland. That's like saying moding american hotrods is retarded." He just doesn't get it, at all.

Something about him boils my bloods every single time. Whatever, if he shows up here, you can ban him. Just create a new forum rule, Absurd amounts of stupidity, fad chasing, and saying "shit is dope," "slam that bitch," "Stretch," or "17* of camber minimum," will result in instant IP ban. Reincarnations will result in the removal of testicles. Further annoyances will result in death by horse rape.

Actually I added you to the list on the evil forum and you rounded out at #9 (I KNOW RIGHT!?ALREADY!?) I'll see who else is here that is interested and isn't on the list there and add them. I bet we could probably push him to start at 10 and just go from there and adjust the final price of the remainder of our balances if anyone else jumps in before we start paying out.
