Default Things must have or bring to the DGRR event!!!

Tell us(me) from your previous experience from the Deals Gap Event some of the must have things that one should have or bring or can't get enough of for this event.

1. The obvious thing, a Rotary powered vehicle.
2. Camera
3. Hunting rifle
4. extra 20B long block

BEER!!! It's a dry county folks. I know, I was surprised too. There's no such thing here in Canada, we wouldn't stand for it. 30 minute drive NORTH of the Dragon just to get a 12 pack is a bit much. Pick it up on the way in.

Where the Dragon is on the TN side is dry. There is a store to get beer 1 mile down from the resort.

Win.

Things I have seen used or needed:

1. Brake fluid
2. Extra Alt
3. Beer
4. Tags, insurance, driver lic.
5. Credit Card so you can get a tow home if needed
6. Jacket - as sometimes it can be a little cool
7. two way FRS radios
8. Coolers with ice
9. extra cleaning stuff if your one who likes his car to look good
10. Camera
11. Video Camera
12. Alot of tall tales to tell at night while drinking!
13. and the biggest one - Learn how not to be around the dumb ass drivers

Maybe this year there will be some hotties that will be willing to take pictures with the cars.

Be careful everyone, have fun and get lots of pics. WIsh I had a freaking rotary that was running right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope. I went to the BP just down the road from NV and that's where I found out it was a dry county. I had to drive into TN to get beer. Also the girl at the gas station in Robbinsville mentioned it too.

In that case, maybe I should buy extra beer to sell at night

Coming from the Murphy side of NV there is a rafting spot and restaurant. Across the street from that is a small store, they had TONS of beer.

Maybe it is a different county?

EDIT: The following counties in North Carolina are dry: Yancey County, Clay County, Graham County, and Mitchell County. Johnston County allows sale of alcohol inside city limits.

NV is in Cherokee County
