Name that plug wtf edition!

I am hooking up the body harness on a '90 vert and was checking plugs and noticed this one. It looks to be in place of my alternator plug but doesn't look molested/spliced. what gives??

weird. Did some one just replace/update the connector or is it for your water temp sensor? Beyond that... I have no idea, sorry.

i just went and took another look at it and every part of it looks 19 years old. no extra/new electircal tape, no cleaner connectors, and I don't have an alternator plug it seems...

well, Charles and I pulled that off of a JDM motor with remnants of a engine AND body harness on it. That "adapter" came off of a tab on the front lift loop. My guess is that I'm in the unique situation that the person who tried to do a T2 swap on the car before me tried to swap the body harness too?? or at least a portion of it?? Either way, now I have to deal with it. I just hope everything else matches up!!
