yep i made sure i put it all the way in.and yes they are both turbo trans and diff.

Turbo doesn't matter - they should all swap.
This is not some funky JDM automatic FC turbo driveshaft, or something weird like that, right? The rear diff have different bolt patterns for turbo versus non-turbo. Tried checking the bolt pattern on the rear diff side first? Lastly... Is the engine + trans mounted and bolted into the car already??? -Ted
