they are pretty much interchangeable. Its the the N318 vs. N319 or N370 vs N374 in question?

what do you mean? Is there a specific issue your running into? It *should* be cross compatible. The engines are the same essentially only some not major differences.

could be a bad sensor or perhaps just the ecu you have is bad. Sounds like once it starts to warm up (where the ecu would start to alter fuel mapping) it gets pissy.
