Dude, so I had no idea that the stupid cross member was removable... why do I only find out now that I've both tanken the engine out, and put it back in with the damn thing still in there?

I guess it's better that I at least know it now!

PS: The socket is available at Sears, it will be a chrome 12point socket. Dont worry, it wont break if you use it with an impact. You also need to get an adapter so it will fit a 1/2 impact drive.

I'm just curious on how exactly you went about pulling a engine and tranny without noticing that the cross member has bolts in it?
I'm calling shenanigans!

Probably just took it off the mounts.
