You mean where the "20B" is cast, the serial number is to the right of that. Looks like "B03" to me but then I don't think that can be right as it should be "B" plus three digits. Might not be a "B" so it could be three digits only.

We'll see.

OK, the engine is 503 series. If you zoom in on the pic you can see it.

Also, I had emailed the previous owner about the condition of the engine. Here is an excerpt of what he said:

With regard to the engine...I don't recall the mileage, but the only reason to keep the motor is because it was the original motor in the car. And if you were ever going to restore it to original, original, original, then you would need to rebuild it and reinstall it. Anyone who knows anything about Cosmos will know that a 1990 would have a three digit numbers only motor xxx, perhaps a late 90 would have a Axxx series motor, but that might be pushing it. The original motor lasted so long because it was a diplomat's car, driven in the U.S. and was never abused. So given those facts, you will have to decide if keeping the motor with the car has some future value - not to you necessarily, but to a future owner or collector. I haven't checked lately, but the supply must be getting low, which means the prices may have gone up.

I will take offers on the engine.

Dan
