well that is good to know then. I hoping to get a nice 79 here soon but the hood is dented.

Banzai is on a distinguished road
I also believe the prop rods on the early RH models pivot and stow on the hood itself. On the LH types this changes to the inner fender.

Exactly! My 79 had that style hood.
