Default After winter storage.....problems.

I took the cover off the FC today since the weather turned nice. It has been cocooned in the driveway for about 3 months now. I have learned a valuable rule as well.

Never use a cheap car cover.

While it did keep the car protected from ice and dropping etc....it also kept in all the moisture when it rained.

MANY items under the hood are now surface corroded. The brand new clutch slave cylinder I put on last year now looks 25 years old. The compressor housing has little barnicals growing on it.

I knew I had a little oil leak. The oil pan bolts on the rear of the engine like to back out a little. Time for a little locktite. It also now has a coolant leak. It got down to 0 degrees bout 10 times over the period, and something gave way. It isn't any of the radiator hoses, heater hoses, r the coolant elbow on the rear iron. The car has no emissions, and I am guessing it is the coolant nipple plug on the rear iron. That is the only area it looks to be coming from.

So now I need to make time to dig into it before DGRR as well as completing the Miata.

Oh yeah, there is a massive chunk of paint near the trim line on the passenger side that is about to peel off. Yay.

Pics soon. Charging camera.
