Nice! EFR are my favorite turbos now. The ONLY thing I may switch to at some point is the Magneti Marelli turbo they use in F1 lol.
I just installed an IWG 8374 a few months ago and I like it, but to be honest I think I liked the EWG 7670 even more (aside from the extra BS of having external WG lol). It was an absolute MONSTER down low, starting spool around 2k and making power to about 7500. Although I haven't gotten it fully tuned on this turbo yet, so maybe I just haven't seen enough. Also, I could hear the 7670 spooling (like a jet engine) through a parking lot. I have to build a bit more boost on the street to hear this one. |

Andy is VERY happy with the 8374, but so far I'm kinda missing the 7670. And another friend here was telling me we should do a compound setup with two 7670s lol. Might have to try that. As for your comparison test, I still have my old 7670 but it may need to be rebuilt. I'm pretty sure the oil seals are bad and I accidentally bent one of the compressor blades when my glove grabbed it when my hand was nearby. Anyway, I'm not sure if they can be rebuilt but I'd be willing to lend it to you for testing. |
