Use Chem-Dip.
I noticed our local Walmart started to carry this.
Do NOT get this on your skin, so be very careful how you handle this stuff.

For housings, I like to use a water-based cleaner like Zep purple industrial cleaner - at Home Depot.
I also like the Oil Eater cleaner that Costco used to carry, but this stuff isn't too easy to find nowadays.
I find the other cleaners like Simple Green, Super Clean, and Purple Power to be TOO WEAK.

Thanks Ted! Ya i have my rotors and housings from my original engine in the garage and they are dirty.. Id like to clean them up and use them for display purposes.

I refuse to rub with scotch brite .... unless i have to....

I just scoured mazdatrix and corksport (whats left of it anyway) for all the brake, suspension and all that fun stuff underneath the car. I've made what i think is a pretty complete list... I'm pretty excited to get to working. I haven't been excited about working on the car like this for a while.
