I just seen on 7 club a party about drill/tap the bango, and its in the way quite a bit, another poster suggested, drill tap for 1/4 npt vs 1/8not (or bsp depending on sensor) then swedging it to the sensor size, this pushes the sensor probe out of the way so it's not in the flow nearly as much as before... J.
